Delores (Dee) Pruitt-Polite native of Chicago Ill. Wife to Earl Polite retired RP1 (Surface Warfare) Navy Veteran. Delores entered the corporate workforce as a single parent relocating to Virginia in 1993. Delores currently serves as a Human Resources Specialist for Military Sealift Command. Formerly dedicating 10 years of employment to Bank of America as a Unit Manager/Officer of the Bank, Delores embodies hard work and dedication. Following her bliss as a songstress, in 2012 Dee established Phenomenal Sounds Band serving as the band leader. Memorable performances include performing at the historical Norfolk VA. Crispus Attucks Theater, Norfolk VA 42nd Annual Jazz Fest at town Point Par, Richmond VA, Hippodrome Theater, Chicago IL. Willie Dixon Blues Haven and Virginia Beach’s Something In The Water. Delores has had the honor of opening for national recording artist Kendred Family Soul, Norman Conners, Gerald Albright, Cybil, Tom Brown, Kenny Lattimore, and Marcus Johnson.
Phenomenal Sounds band has been recognized on a plethora of platforms for their service to the Hampton Roads community and abroad in the United Kingdom Bahrain. Diva’s Anthem, Talk Is Cheap, Excellence, and the Wooten to Win Jingle accounts for Phenomenal Sounds Bands original project work. It invigorates Dee Polite to share her gift of song.
Delores is an Advanced Competent Communicator Certified Toastmaster Silver/Public Speaker. Of recent, Delores has been recognized by as a City of Chesapeake ICON by the Mayor, featured as a keynote speaker for The Tidewater Coalition for The People, Colour U Cosmetics 2021 graduates, ESP TV and Girlfriends Tea Talk Show covering and array of topics. As a United Way Project Inclusion Alumni, Delores is a subject matter expert on Board Governance and a proven philanthropist.
She proudly serves the community in various capacities of executive boards with organizations The Reech Foundation (Board Member), GLAM (Vice President) The Edward Myles Foundation (President), CEO/Host of Talk Is Cheap Radio Show. Authoress Delores Polite is also a Best-Selling Co-Author of the Anthology “Undeterred” and a Co-Author of April release Anthology “Complicated Alliances.
