Meet Jazmine L. Smith
Jazmine Smith is an Award-Winning Trauma Informed Advocate, Speaker, Business Strategist and Army Veteran with over 20 years of experience as a behavior and relationship professional. Her creative approach, focusing on Brand and Customer Experience improvement strategies has successfully influenced hundreds of businesses in achieving their operational and financial performance goals. Her passion to enhance individual lives, families, and communities is seen daily in her work as the Founder and CEO of the Hive Experience Agency and her non-profit, Operation BeHave which focuses on empowering youth. As the CEO of Hive Experience agency, Smith works with small for/not for profit businesses to large enterprises looking to scale by analyzing overlooked opportunities in internal processes. Her team develops and implements strategies for organizations with a focus on total Brand and Customer Experience through organizational structure, communications, public relations, marketing, ongoing training, and partnership.
In addition to being honored as one of Coastal Virginia’s Millennials on the Move, Jazmine serves as a 757 Champion playing a key role as an advocate and active ambassador to advance our region through the 757 Recovery & Resilience Action Framework. Her passion for Diversity & Inclusion alongside Personal & Professional development go hand in hand as she continues to support and empower others through her participation in Boards, Special projects, and community-based programs. Frequently commended for an ability to go above and beyond the call of duty; Jazmine brings value as an expert in building bridges, connecting people, and managing relationships. She has developed and maintained strong relationships within the Hampton Roads community and is a well known community advocate.
A graduate of United Way's Nationally recognized and award winning Project Inclusion class, Jazmine currently supports the YWCA of South Hampton Roads' mission of empowering women and eliminating racism as a trauma informed advocate, directly working with victims of violence in residential care. She also serves their community outreach and Racial justice teams. She is also the Hampton Roads’ affiliate leader for the National Cares Mentoring movement under the leadership of Susan Taylor, a board member for Hampton Roads’ Diversity and Inclusion Consortium( HRDIC), an Ambassador for Virginia Center for Inclusive Communities (VCIC), a member of Portsmouth Family assessment and planning team (FAPT), and an appointed board member for the City of Portsmouth Behavioral Healthcare Services Advisory board.
In the past she has held positions with Urban League, NAACP, WICT, PRSA, NAMIC, CENV, Planned Parenthood, Dress for Success, Wounded Warriors, and Several Chambers of commerce across Virginia to include the Hampton Roads first Regional Black Chamber of Commerce where she led the youth entrepreneurship program.
